A Guacamole Recipe adapted from my own Mother’s famous recipe
- 3 – 4 avocados
- 1/2 red onion, chopped
- 3 – 4 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 1/2 jalapeno pepper, seeded & finely diced
- 1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp of salt
- 1/2 tsp of ground black pepper
- 1 lime
- handful of fresh cilantro
Cut avocados in a half and remove the pit. Once the pit is removed, take 3 halves and empty into a bowl. Begin by mashing with a fork, until broken down. Take remainder avocado halves and score with a knife, first vertical and then horizontal, creating a pattern of squares. Remove avocado from the skin into the bowl. Through in onions, garlic, jalapeno, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, cilantro, and the juice of 1/2 a lime. Once all ingredients are in the bowl, toss lightly. You want to make sure you maintain the chucks of avocado.
Dish up with your favorite Mexican dish, Burger, or simply serve as a snack!
